PJS Mouldings was started in 1993 by owner, and Managing Director, Philip Smith
Following an Engineering Honours degree in Production engineering, Philip joined his father’s patternmaking business and gained an insight into the running of an SME. Keen to pursue a more production based enterprise he formed PJS Mouldings.
Having specialised in Rapid Prototyping & Polymers in his final year at university, injection moulding was an ideal route into the production industry.
Starting in a small unit with one machine
PJS soon established itself as a supplier of high quality small mouldings.
The first fifteen years saw massive growth in both sales and size of mouldings produced. This led to the purchase of the current premises in Redditch in 2008, which gave PJS a state of the art facility needed to further its reputation as first class suppliers of technical mouldings and assemblies.
Keen to maintain a competitive edge, PJS have invested heavily in automation, and are currently developing a robotised assembly cell.
